BBC Learning English For Work Downloads
BBC Learning English For Work Downloads lists the episodes of Learning English For Work, a weekly podcast from the BBC World Service about the language used in international workplaces. Each entry on the page gives the episode title, its date, one line on what it covers, and a download in higher or lower quality. Recent episodes cover talking about plans, choosing between formal and informal speech, and pitching an idea.
100% Free (unlimited): Every episode on the page downloads without an account and without payment, in a higher or a lower quality file, and the page states that episodes stay available indefinitely. The series can also be followed through BBC Sounds or the feed linked on the page.
How It Helps Your Business English
The page lists the episodes newest first, each with its title, its date, one line on what it covers and two download sizes. The series is described as short podcasts on the language of international workplaces, updated weekly, with episodes kept indefinitely. Recent subjects include plans and strategies, formal and informal speech, and pitching.
Download two or three episodes at the lower quality and keep them for a commute: they are short enough to finish in one trip. Listen first without stopping, then again to catch the phrases the presenters repeat. Because the series is weekly and the episodes stay online, you can work backwards through the subjects that match your own job.
